JAN'S BLOG

This will be a periodic writing - a highlight of events. As we approach the summer and get busier, time becomes more and more of an issue as to whether I'll to be able to keep up with writing for this... Janet

May 4 Today I filmed Scot Tillinghast and his family at Sonlife Church, Salisbury. They travel from their New York upstate home to organizations, ranches and farms all over North America. The crowd here today were spellbound as he led a local horse who couldn't be trained to enter a horse trailer, to enter in within 10 minutes of working with him. He uses only eye contact and slight body movements as a cue to the horse, gaining his complete trust and submission. What a fine example of how God is so patient with us, turning His seemingly impossibly self-willed people into His God-willed children.

May 3 Robin and James got married at Clearview at Horne's Point, Cambridge. This was a beautiful 75 degree day with a spectacular view of the Pocomoke River. Very elegant indeed! To view their complete wedding, go to the home page and click on "click here to view your event".

May 2, 2008 - I attended the grand opening ceremony of the Smith Island Water Trail at Tylerton, Smith Island. Congressman Wayne Gilchrest cut the ribbon with Waverly Evans. Crabcakes and Smith Island Cake were served for a lovely outside waterview luncheon. They also celebrated the Smith Island cake being made the official Maryland dessert by the legislature in April.

May 1 The garden was in full spring bloom and we had fun with Tia "tiptoeing through the tulips" for her senior photos...

April 26 - Ari's first birthday photos with his special outfit on! It was a beautiful day (it hit 90). We all worked up a sweat.

April 12 Our first opportunity to photograph a wedding at the new Bridgeville Banquet Center. Very cheerful and bright facility with lots of room. Lovely day with the Metz/Hoffman families.

April 19 Smith Island Fire Department's 50th Anniversary celebration. 300 people attended. We love Smith Island (view our Smith Island booklet page.)

March 22 The Mudge family and pets were all very well behaved. Mom, Tina, is our dog groomer for our Springer Spaniel. Our neighbors probably wondered what was going on with all the barking and noise we were creating to get the pets' attention...

March 23 The Delva family were visiting family here on the eastern shore and called to have an Easter photo taken of the kids. It was such a beautiful spring day out by the pond.

March1 RayeAnne Fadely and Donald Paso were married and this was a wedding where it was a celebration of their grandkids, too! A wonderfully close family gathering...

Feb. 1 I just had the opportunity to spend two days with my niece who is a budding interior decorator. She wanted me to come around to all the homes she had decorated to take photographs and make a portfolio for her. What a wonderful time I had with her. And it was really neat to learn about her "trade". I found out that curtains are called "Window treatments"!
